Washtenaw County Conservation District
Promoting Information, Services and Products for Local Government
Washtenaw County Conservation District needed its web site to serve as a "gateway to conservation" for its citizens. One of the district's main needs was to promote its Tree and Native Plant Sale, held each spring and fall. The web site provides plenty of useful information about each plant so that citizens can identify those best fitting their needs. An administrative area allows the district staff to manage much of the information about the sale, including entering new plants, indicating their sale status, creating plant collections, and more. The image shows one of the plant collection pages, which lists the individual plants and their characteristics. The plant information is stored in a database, and is generated dynamically on the page.
From the Client
“We have been very satisfied with the web site design and maintenance service provided by Loracs Creations. Loracs helped us develop two sites, one for a local unit of government, the other a non-profit regional organization. In both cases Loracs was extremely helpful and insightful in development of the sites and getting them on-line in a timely manner. Regular maintenance and changes to each site have also been handled in a timely and professional fashion. Loracs is easy to work with, and, we have also received many good comments on the informative and user-friendly nature of our sites. Loracs Creations is an excellent choice for web site design and maintenance!”
